GCB trainees, C4TP grantees obtain 100% passing rate on CHS
Another 100% passing rate recently received by three (3) regular students of GCB Training Center (GCBTC) and by the eight (8) Cash for Training Project (C4TP) grantees who took more than a month of training on Computer Hardware Servicing (CHS) competency course at GCB Training Center – Alegria Branch. The CHS competency course training was extensively started last March 2013 for the C4TP grantees. The competency assessment was conducted at GCBTC-Alegria, Surigao del Norte last April 25-26, 2013. First two ladies demonstrate proficiency and determination in welding at GCBTC
Since GCB Training Center offered Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) competency course in Alegria branch, Alegria, Surigao del Norte sometimes in 2008, it was tested for the first time that two ladies finally demonstrated total capacity to perform the man-dominated competency on welding. This was proved true by Vivian D. Sabandal from Claver, Surigao del Norte and Aires M. Paganpan of Tubod, Surigao del Norte who just achieved the recent SMAW NC II competency assessment last April 11 to 12, 2013 held at GCB Training Center – Alegria branch (continue)

C4TP scholars-trainees get 100% on SMAW NC II
After the 274 hours or more than one month of competency trainings at GCB Training Center, the 24 scholar-trainees and candidates taking Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) course are ready for the SMAW National Certificate II (NCII) assessment. These trainees and candidates for SMAW NC II are assisted through the Cash for Training Project (C4TP) which is a joint project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Technical Educational Skills and Development Authority (TESDA). Most of them came from difference municipalities of Surigao del Norte as far as Claver and Gigaquit. (continue)

Twenty more scholars taking up Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) at GCB Training Center-Alegria recently attained 100% passing rate on its SMAW NC II competency assessment. The NC assessment held at Alegria, Surigao del Norte last November 15-16, 2012. (more)
